Terms of service

Pickoo lets you call the winner and final score of every match in the tournament. Correct picks earn points; rankings appear on a public leaderboard. There is no entry fee, no purchase, and no card required — Pickoo is free to play.

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement. The Service is available worldwide subject to your local laws. If participating in a free-to-play prize game is restricted where you live, you are responsible for not participating.

• One account per person. Creating multiple accounts to manipulate rankings or claim additional prizes is prohibited and may result in disqualification.
• You're responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account.
• We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice.

You agree not to:

• Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to make picks or interact with the Service.
• Share or coordinate accounts to gain ranking advantages.
• Exploit bugs or vulnerabilities instead of reporting them to hello@pickoo.app.
• Impersonate other people or use offensive usernames.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or our infrastructure.

• Picks lock at kickoff. Once a match begins you can no longer create or edit a pick for it.
• Scoring: exact score correct → 8 points; winner correct only → 3 points; wrong winner → 0 points.
• If an official result is amended (e.g. correction by the tournament organiser), we reserve the right to re-score affected picks. Your point total updates accordingly.
• Knockout matches are scored on the result after extra time. Penalty shootouts are recorded but don't change the home/away/draw outcome used for scoring.

If two or more players finish the tournament with the same total points on the final leaderboard, the tie is broken in the following order:

1. Most exact-score picks. The player with the most 8-point (exact score) picks ranks higher.
2. Most picks made. Among players still tied, the one who made the most picks across the tournament ranks higher.
3. Equal split. If players are still tied after both criteria above, they share the equivalent positions and the prize money for those positions is split equally between them.

Example: two players tied for 1st share the 1st and 2nd place prizes — each receives ($300 + $150) ÷ 2 = $225. The next-ranked player receives 3rd place.

Tiebreakers are applied only at the end of the tournament for prize calculation. The live leaderboard during the tournament may display tied players in a different order.

• The top three players on the final leaderboard at the end of the tournament receive the prize pool advertised on the homepage.
• Prizes are issued as a digital prepaid gift card loaded with the prize amount, delivered by email to the address on the winner's account. Card type, brand, and currency may depend on the winner's country of residence and availability at the time of fulfillment.
• Winners are contacted by the email address on their account within 14 days of the tournament ending. Unclaimed prizes are forfeited after 30 days.
• Prizes are personal and non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for cash. If a winner is ineligible under these terms, the next-ranked eligible player receives the prize.
• Pickoo and any persons involved in operating the Service are excluded from receiving prizes.

Pickoo displays sponsor logos and links in the side rails and mobile ribbon. Clicking a sponsor takes you to an external site we don't control. We don't endorse sponsors' products, services, or content and aren't responsible for them.

The Pickoo name, logo, design, and all original content on the Service are owned by us. Team names, flags, and fixtures are used for descriptive purposes only.

Pickoo is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by FIFA or any tournament organiser.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the Service.

We may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes will be flagged on the site. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any dispute arising out of or relating to the Service or these terms is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the United Arab Emirates, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections available to you in your country of residence.
